Columbus’ Best Locations for Engagement Photos

There are so many great locations in Columbus I have yet to explore, so I’m sure I will continue to add more as I go. If none of these locations jump out to you, then I would encourage you to think about a place that is special to you as a couple! It will be way more meaningful and special, which will show in the pictures.

1. Franklin Park Conservatory
-There is the indoor conservatory, and the outdoor park. If you want to shoot in the indoor part, we will have to get permission through the conservatory in order to make this happen.
-The outdoor is also picture perfect and totally free to the public. I will attach photos of both indoor and outdoor!

2. Inniswood Metro Gardens
-Whether it’s winter, spring, summer, or fall, this is a beautiful park with a lot of good nooks for photos.

3. The Leveque Tower Garage
-This is an urban location if you are more of a city person! This rooftop is a nice wide open space for a super fun engagement session. Grab your skateboards and let’s get some rad photos!

4. Homestead Metro Park
– A nice family park that has a covered bridge, pond, Ohio barn, and this beautiful wheat-looking grass. My favorite time to go is around golden hour, the grass looks so pretty in that light!

5. German Village
-One of my favorite places near downtown is German Village. I love starting off at Stauf’s Coffee Roasters for a drink and strolling around this cute neighborhood and stopping for pictures along the way. It’s a short walk to Schiller Park for an additional place to take some photos!

6. Hoover Dam
-Behind the dam, there is a big bunch of tall trees that look absolutely stunning in photos! The photo below was taken in a few inches of snow, but it is also just as picturesque without snow.

7. High Bank Distillery (or any brewery!)
-Breweries make for a super fun and lighthearted engagement session, especially if you like beer! Also, if you don’t like beer, there are a lot of coffee shops that we could cozy up in for a shoot!

8. Goodale Park
– This park is super close to downtown, so if you want to have an urban shoot mixed with some nature, this is the perfect spot for you! There is a lot of green here, especially in the warm months!

9. Hayden Run Falls
-This is one of my very favorite places in Columbus! It’s a little hidden gem that I am so happy we have in our city. It’s definitely a unique spot compared to other scenery we have here in CBus!

10. Scioto Grove Metro Park
-Last but not least, we have this moodier park. They have some cool trees, open fields, and a pond or two! Plenty of options to change it up for your photos all in one park!
